IYASE is committed to the study, teaching and dissemination and promotion of the art, science and philosophy of yoga according to the teaching of yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar and his family.   

  • Sponsors on going Teacher Training throughout the year with senior Iyengar teachers
  • Publishes tri-annual newsletters about Iyengar yoga and news in the Iyengar yoga community
  • Participates in Iyengar Yoga Association of the United States' (IYNAUS) sponsored projects
  • Supports regional yoga teachers and Iyengar practitioners by building a scholarship fund for attending sponsored workshops and for travel to Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India to study with the Iyengars
