Scholarships Offered Through IYASE
IYASE Scholarships for Reflection,The Iyengar Yoga Certified Teachers' Convention 2010 The Board of Directors for the Iyengar Yoga Association of the Southeast Region is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships for its members towards the cost of attending the National Convention in Portland in May 2010. The requirements are as follows:
Application Form: Certified Teachers' Convention 2010 Scholarships for IYASE Sponsored Continuing Education IYASE offers partial scholarships to attend IYASE sponsored workshops. Generally, IYASE will award up to 50% of your total expenses, including the workshop fee, housing and transportation. To be eligible, you must be a member of IYASE, meet the workshop requirements, have a financial need and be dedicated to the practice of Iyengar yoga. The teacher training committee, when possible, provides housing opportunities at no cost with local students or at reasonably priced accommodations. The scholarship committee will expect scholarship applicants to take advantage of these lower cost opportunities. Also, if you are traveling by airplane, we encourage you to make flight plans early enough to obtain a reasonably priced airfare. In order to be eligible for a scholarship, send a deposit of one-half the cost of the workshop fee to the Teacher Training Chairperson. Please submit your completed application one month in advance of the workshop (date). Note that those applying for the Teacher in Training/Introductory workshop also should have the teacher recommendation form filled out by their primary teacher and returned to the Scholarship Chairperson 30 days in advance. This form is not required when applicants are applying for Intermediate Junior teacher trainings. Application Form: Teacher-in-Training and Introductory Teacher Training Workshop Recommending Teacher Form Application Form: Intermediate Junior Teacher Training Workshop Scholarships for Certification Assessment IYASE will award two scholarships annually of up to $500.00 each to assist and support members with the expense of travel to assessments for certification. The requirements are as follows:
Application Form: Scholarship for Assessment for Certification Scholarship for Study at the Ramamani Iyengar Yoga Memorial Institute IYASE will award one $1500.00 scholarship annually to one of its members in order to support and to ease the expense of travel to India and study at RIMYI. The requirements are as follows:
